Zadan Papadopoulos

Position: President of the Board of Neighborhood Associations Age: 65 Bio: Zadan first arrived on Isometrical when he was 25, and can no longer really remember his life before his arrival. He knows he grew up elsewhere, but his strongest recollections are all from the time since he arrived here. His educational background is in business administration, which makes him an ideal candidate for the position he has held here in Centre for the last twenty years or so. To the outsider, Zadan seems to be a paradox: he's highly religious and strongly devoted to the force that has brought everyone to this place, yet he values logic and seeking knowledge above all other endeavors that one can devote oneself to. This is no contradiction in Zadan's mind, however—the two goals are intermingled for him, as seeking knowledge will inevitably lead to the enlightenment that devoting oneself to the higher powers brings.

Jamila Dendan

Position: Head of new arrivals at Newcomers Hospital Age: 40 Bio: Besides being the head of the new arrivals department at Newcomers hospital, Dr. Dendan is also a skilled SYNC specialist. She’s the one who has determined it’s best for all new arrivals to be implanted with network chips as soon as they arrive in order to hasten their integration into this society. Before her administration’s tenure, patients were expected to agree to receive the chip before it was implanted, which caused a lot of difficulty for those who desired a smooth transition every month when people arrived. Although being implanted with the chips without their consent aggravates those who arrive, at least they’re able to immediately access the network and everything they need to survive here. Dr. Dendan is the one everyone must see before they can receive physical augmentations, and the one who will assign those who will program their SYNC chips with additional software.

Dorana Fidelo

Position: Priestess of the Temple of the Abyss Age: 40 Bio: Dorana grew up in a fairly typical, if affluent, family in Italy. Her parents were strongly Catholic, especially her mother, who turned to her faith more intently after the loss of Dorana's brother in infancy. Dorana was never very religious herself, however, as far as the trappings of Catholicism went. She had always considered herself spiritual rather than devout, and had turned to more the life of a party animal by the time she disappeared to Isometrical. Something about bring brought to Isometrical turned this all on its head for Dorana, however. She found that she had now had everything she'd ever been taught about religion and spirituality contradicted—but she turned to the feeling of spirituality that had always been a comfort to her in childhood now. She became a frequent visitor to the Temple, and began wearing a Ring token around her neck to symbolize her devotion to the force which had brought all of Centre's citizens here. This was how she came to the attention of the Temple's priest. He is the one who chose her to be his successor, having grown elderly. Dorana made various changes to the position after her ordination. She is the one who changed one of the prayer halls into a residence for herself, and installed herself in the position as a full-time job. To Dorana, her devotion to the Limnus could never be overstated. There was no reason not to do it every minute of every day. Dorana is the one who began making preparations for the latest wave of arrivals to Isometrical. No one knows how she knew more residents were going to begin arriving; they simply began making preparations when she stated it was time. Presumably, she has some method of communion with the Limnus that allows her to know at least some of their plans, but she doesn't share details with the citizens or leadership of the city.
